Note: Guide Hachette 3*** (Exceptional Wine)
“This 22-hectare estate, taken over in 1995, produces a wine that is quite simply exceptional. Black and red fruits, cloves, toasty and smoky notes: the nose is of rare complexity. Full-bodied, round, and rich, with a solid structure, the palate is equally impressive. Notes of candied black fruit and roasted flavors (mocha, toast) come through with intensity. A very promising wine, to be cellared for three to five years and served with game.” (Guide Hachette des Vins 2010)

Tasted in 2012 and 2013. It is a dark, powerful wine, very well "structured," with an aging profile that is both pronounced yet subtle, without any harshness (I am personally a staunch opponent of "oak-dominant" wines). A real pleasure to drink, and I believe it has good aging potential. In summary: excellent value for money.

Bitterness ...... poorly integrated wood, a storage issue?!?!?
