Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

The Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) is located on hills that stretch for around 100 kilometers from north to south and enjoy excellent sun exposure. Overlooking the Gironde Estuary, the Blaye vineyards are planted on incredibly rich soil. The rolling landscapes contrast with the almost marine horizon of the estuary's banks: half river, half sea, the Gironde has shaped the history of this land. The vineyards are cultivated on the plains, on the hillsides, or on the high plateaus. The amount of sunshine (240 days per year) and the numerous geological movements of the past give each of the terroirs in the three cantons of Blaye their own unique characteristics.

AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux red wines are mainly made from the Merlot grape variety. These wines offer a deep color and fruity notes, making them very enjoyable. AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux white wines are made from the Sauvignon grape variety. With a pale yellow color, a nose marked by citrus and broom aromas, and a beautiful liveliness and length on the palate, these wines are intensely refined.

AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux wines are aromatic and pleasant to drink, with subtle fruit notes and supple tannins that are typical of this terroir.
