Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

The Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) is located on hills that stretch approximately 100 kilometers from north to south and enjoy excellent sun exposure. Overlooking the Gironde Estuary, the Blayais vineyards are set in a terroir of incredible richness. Its rolling landscapes contrast with the almost maritime horizon along the estuary’s shores: half river, half sea, the Gironde has shaped the history of this land. The vineyards are cultivated on plains, hillsides, or high plateaus. With 240 days of sunshine per year and the numerous geological shifts of the past, each terroir within the three cantons of Blaye possesses its own distinct character.

AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux red wines are primarily made from the Merlot grape variety. These wines offer a deep color and fruity notes; they are wines meant to be enjoyed. The white AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux wines are made from the Sauvignon grape variety. With a pale yellow color, a nose marked by aromas of citrus and broom, as well as a lovely liveliness and length on the palate, they are wines of intense finesse.

AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux wines are aromatic and pleasant to drink, with subtle fruit notes and supple tannins that are quite typical of this terroir.
