Château Joinin
Château Joinin, a family-owned estate for several generations, was taken over in 1989 by Mr. and Mrs. Mestreguilhem, who decided to vinify their own harvest. The Mestreguilhems, who also own Château Pipeau, a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, draw on the experience and expertise they have acquired there over many years to devote meticulous care to vineyard management and winemaking, with the aim of producing a red Bordeaux of the highest quality at Château Joinin.
In 2000, the focus was on building new cellars at the heart of the estate, equipped with modern technology designed to enhance quality and protect the environment. The Château Joinin vineyard now spans 25 hectares of red grape varieties, with a high proportion of Merlot, resulting in a pleasant wine that is supple and has a very appealing fruitiness, which can be enjoyed even when young.
