"A very pleasant feeling of tonicity!"
"Reynon displays floral notes and some fruity nuances, followed by subtle chalky notes that highlight the limestone. With a slender character, the wine has tannins that give it a certain breadth. Its main asset is the harmony with which it reveals itself, in a linear fashion. An elegant wine that can be enjoyed in its youth... and a little later too." (Yves Beck 2023)

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Château Reynon, located on the Beguey hillside near the village of Cadillac, belongs to the family of Denis Dubourdieu (the pope of oenology who passed away in 2016). Thanks to cultural and technical efforts, it is now one of the most renowned wines of the Côtes de Bordeaux, with reds and whites in a racy and slender style, seductive in their straightforwardness and freshness. We will follow the white and red, always good and affordable."

Wine rated (2023 guide) 88/100
About wine:
From the outset, the wine is lively, almost tart and quite sharp, with high acidity balanced by a fairly lean saline minerality. Hints of graphite, flint, and wet stone mingle with berries, while fine tannins give the palate a crushed stone, almost chalky texture. 2024-2032
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated estate (2010 guide) 5 stars (Outstanding production)
About the estate:
"The reds are now among the best Premières Côtes de Bordeaux thanks to traditional winemaking techniques and aging that makes sparing use of new barrels..."
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2011 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
"The reds from Reynon have come a long way and, thanks to their silky texture, are now among the best in the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation..."
James Suckling
Wine rated (2023 guide) 89/100
About wine:
Fruity nose, prunes, olives, black cherries, freshly turned earth, and a hint of geranium. The palate is fleshy, juicy, and fruity, although the fruit profile is simpler. The tannins are fresh and grainy. Drink now.

About wine:
Vanilla notes envelop aromas of raspberry and blackcurrant. The palate is lively, with lovely acidity reminiscent of wild blackberries. The tannins are very well integrated, with a freshness that dominates the finish and lingers for a long time. A very pleasant feeling of liveliness. 2022-2032

Wine rated (2022 guide) 89/100
About wine:
Deep purple color with violet highlights and an almost black core. Aromatic nose of ripe fruit, black berries, and elderberry, with hints of blackcurrant jam in the background. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied but well-structured, with ripe yet firm tannins, restrained fruit, and subtle notes of aromatic herbs.
