La Croix Lartigue Castle
In 2008, Simon Blanchard, Julien Lavenu, and Stephane Derenoncourt took over the La Croix Lartigue Castle on a leasehold basis, due to the potential of its terroir in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. Indeed, this vineyard site features a gravelly layer deposited by the river on the upper slopes of the appellation’s limestone plateaus. Château La Croix Lartigue also boasts beautiful marl-rich hillsides with varied exposures.

The technical facilities at Château La Croix Lartigue are brand-new and highly efficient. The team’s efforts have focused on making sacrifices in the vineyard to restore the vines’ vitality (through severe pruning, mechanical soil cultivation, etc.).

The grapes at Château La Croix Lartigues are harvested by hand, and until bottling, the wine undergoes very little processing to preserve its full character.
