About wine:
This Merlot grown on gravelly soil offers structure, volume, and excellent balance. Despite being a cool vintage, it remains full-bodied, with silky tannins and a lively finish. Enjoy with a Provençal stew or roast beef. 2026-2033
About the estate:
Dominique Raimond owns several châteaux in the Blaye and Bourgeais regions: Montfollet, one of the region's leading lights, Haut Lalande, Graulet, Merigot, Haut Grela, and Puy d'Amour (13 hectares of organic land). He is a member of the high-quality Cars cooperative (1937), renamed "Châteaux Solidaires" in 2011, which vinifies separately the harvests of a dozen member châteaux, selected with great rigor.

I disagree with Hachette's comments. I find it very average, with an unpleasant taste of Malbec. A little disappointing.
