On the nose, Merlot dominates, with hints of vanilla, prunes, and even toasted notes. The oak is ever-present and complements the wine beautifully. The attack is smooth, with elegant, well-integrated tannins. The palate is relatively complex, with a lovely, lingering finish. Overall, it is very elegant and expressive! Excellent value for the price. Best served after decanting or opened the day before.
