Rated estate (2014 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
"The château can now claim the title of the largest classified growth in the Médoc. Over the years, Bernard Magrez, the owner, has significantly expanded it through the acquisition of attractive plots. At the same time, the facilities have been modernized, and the style of the wines has become beautifully refined over the past few vintages. The dense, full-bodied wines that have long characterized the estate have gained significantly in refinement and elegance. This is a development we welcome, as is the very reasonable pricing policy, which continues to make La Tour Carnet an excellent value.”

About the wine:
La Tour Carnet 2025 is magnificent. Aromatic and wonderfully lively, with striking purity, the 2025 is truly impressive. It is one of the most elegant and refined vintages I have tasted here. I have long admired La Tour Carnet, particularly for its aging potential. The 2025 truly seems to mark the beginning of a new era. Aging is expected to last about 14 months, with 50% in French oak barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks, wooden barrels, and concrete vats. What a delight.

About the wine:
The bouquet offers beautiful fruit intensity with inviting fruity notes such as raspberries and blackberries, followed by a hint of cinnamon and licorice sticks. Slightly creamy on the palate, the wine stands out for its linear and elegant character. It is rather slender, yet perfectly supported by velvety tannins and refreshing acidity. It seems to me that we are returning to the style of Tour Carnet wines that contributed to its global reputation, such as the 2001 vintage, for example. An elegant, mouth-watering, and refreshing wine! 2028–2040
