A good, fruity, and silky wine. If drunk in 2025, it will likely have passed its peak, as its oxidative character suggests.

Review by Mr. KARIM KARL CHRISTOPHE F. Published on February 3, 2025
This Château Sociando-Mallet has a deep, opaque purple color. Its nose is both fruity and spicy. On the palate, it displays a distinct Médoc style, full of finesse. Tannic, with lovely density and a beautiful finish, it is a distinguished, rich, and well-balanced wine.

You're always rewarded with a (good) Bordeaux that has aged (under the right conditions) for at least ten years! That's the case here : )

Tasted in September 2021. A superb wine that’s well-balanced, with fine tannins; complex and elegant, with good length.

Review by Mr. PHILIPPE C. Published on June 26, 2021
I reopened a bottle of this fine 2012 vintage, but it didn't give me the same pleasure: a light nose, flat and short on the palate; a bottle that lacked the explosive character I had expected.
