About the estate:
Hubert de Boüard acquired this Lalande-de-Pomerol estate in 1998. It comprises two distinct plots: one with coarse gravel and the other with sand and clay. Since the first vintage, these terroirs have consistently produced a wine of great style. Each year, from the gravelly terroir, Hubert de Boüard produces a cuvée that he himself describes as an "OVNI" (Unidentified Vinifying Object). The Highlight: a very ambitious cuvée aged for 33 months in new oak barrels.

About the estate:
Hubert de Boüard has elevated this remarkable estate to the forefront of its appellation by applying the same principles of viticulture and winemaking that ensured the success of Château Angélus in Saint-Émilion. Here, he produces rich yet balanced wines with superb aromatic charm. The most recent vintages have grown even more elegant. In great vintages, a selection of the finest grapes can produce the Fleur de Boüard “Le Plus” cuvée, which openly seeks to rival the most prestigious Pomerols. It may succeed, but sometimes to excess! In 2012, the estate inaugurated a brand-new winery, designed entirely for gravity-fed operations and equipped with inverted truncated-cone tanks.
