Domaine du Grand Ormeau

The history of Domaine du Grand Ormeau is that of a precious family heritage, patiently cultivated since the mid-19th century. Rooted in respect for the land, this heritage has been passed down from generation to generation in the Garde family. Founded in 1866, this wine estate cultivates a 15-hectare vineyard using sustainable agricultural practices certified HVE 3. Domaine du Grand Ormeau is located on a clay-gravel plateau with deep gravel, in the heart of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, in the commune of Néac. The vineyard is planted with 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc. The wines are regularly praised by critics, as evidenced by the 2019 vintage, which was awarded 2 stars by the Guide Hachette and Favorite the Revue du Vin de France.
