Bettane & Desseauve

“Siaurac has long produced ‘nice’ Lalande-de-Pomerol wines, and the 2015 is worth exploring. It offers a sensual, fruity bouquet with plenty of black cherry and blackcurrant, though these notes do not dominate. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. There are a few layers of new oak that still need to integrate, but there is enough fruit to make that happen. The finish reveals seductive notes of truffle and white pepper that lend a lovely salinity.” (Wine Advocate 2016 – Robert Parker) Delivered in a wooden case for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding “Point Relais” delivery method)

Wine rated (2018 guide) 15,5/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2018 guide): 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)

About the wine:

The aromas are fresher than they were during the en primeur tastings. The tannins also have more energy.

About the estate:

Forty hectares of vineyards are planted in this part of Néac, where Siaurac harmonizes with the enveloping smoothness of well-structured tannins.

A truly beautiful wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared—it has great potential. I'll be buying more.

It's already very good. If it improves with age as expected, it will be magnificent in a few years.

Having already been impressed by the 2009, I can't help but be pleased with this vintage, which is well-balanced and ready to drink.
