"Siaurac has long produced 'fine' Lalande-de-Pomerol wines, and the 2015 is well worth exploring. It offers a sensual, fruity bouquet with plenty of black cherry and blackcurrant, though these notes do not dominate. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. There are a few layers of new oak that still need to be integrated, but there is enough fruit to make that happen. The aromas are fresher than they were during the en primeur tastings. The tannins also have more bite.

Forty hectares of vineyards are planted in this part of Néac, where Siaurac blends with the smoothness of well-structured tannins.

A truly beautiful wine—it can be enjoyed now or cellared, with great aging potential. I’ll definitely be buying more.
