Pontac-Lynch Castle
In 1720, the Count of Lynch had a hunting lodge built in the village of Issan, in the heart of the Médoc region. Later, a Bordeaux administrator, Mr. de Pontac, purchased the property; the estate was then renamed Château Pontac-Lynch and became a full-fledged winery. The Château Pontac-Lynch vineyard spans nearly 8 hectares and has been managed by the Bondon family since 1952.

Neighboring Château d'Issan and Palmer, it benefits from a beautiful terroir of gravel and limestone. The Bondon family produces three red wine vintages there under the Haut-Médoc, Margaux Cru Bourgeois, and Margaux appellations. Château Pontac-Lynch’s red wines are refined and elegant on the nose, both spicy and fruity.
