Château Rochemorin

In Martillac, within the Pessac-Léognan AOC, Château Rochemorin neighbors the famous Château Smith Haut Lafitte. Situated on one of the highest gravel ridges, it benefits from a diverse terroir, ideal for both red and white wines. Steeped in history, the estate was once owned by the philosopher Montesquieu, an iconic figure of the “Age of Enlightenment.” Since 1973, Château Rochemorin has been owned by the André Lurton family, who undertook an extensive replanting of the vineyard and inaugurated an ultra-modern winery in 2005, designed in the style of a hacienda. Château Rochemorin ’s red wines are distinguished by their finesse and elegance, with rich notes of black fruit, while the whites reveal subtly oaked citrus notes.
