Gazin is the largest of Pomerol’s top estates, with 24 hectares situated on the plateau’s clay-gravel terroirs. Nicolas de Bailliencourt consistently produces an excellent wine there with a classic structure, free of any stylistic gimmicks, that ages beautifully. We find the most recent vintages particularly compelling, and Gazin has established itself as a safe bet, with prices that have remained reasonable.
