"This 2016 still seems to be in its prime. Behind its deep ruby color lies a highly concentrated nose of jammy black fruits, licorice and vanilla. The palate is straightforward, full-bodied and harmonious, combining elegance and power, with a rich, racy tannic structure. Superb finish, persistent and promising. A great wine for laying down". Wine rated (2019 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
Although rich, this wine from a 4-hectare estate is also fragrant, with a balance between wood barrel ageing and black fruits. The wood aging still shows in the spicy character, but the wine is heading for an impressive, ripe and powerful future. Drink from 2023. - Roger Voss
James Suckling
Wine rated (2017 guide) 91-92/100
About the wine:
Tight and juicy, with notes of blackberry, dark chocolate and blackcurrant. Medium-bodied, with a solid core of fruit and a savory finish.
Terre de Vins
Wine rated (2020 guide) Recommandé
About the wine:
The texture is dense and deep, with a surprisingly thick finish. But the tannins remain elegant, and all we want is to give the wine a few years to fully emerge from its chrysalis.
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2018 guide) 90/100
About the wine:
Dense garnet-red with violet highlights. Filigree bouquet, with notes of cherry, blueberry and liquorice wood. Delicious, elegant palate. Compact and creamy on the palate. It has a pleasant freshness that invigorates the whole palate, while the structure takes a back seat to the tannins. Well-integrated, fine-grained tannins. Fruity, persistent finish. A pleasant wine that can be enjoyed in its youth. 2020-2028
Vert de Vin

Fruity, balanced and harmonious on the palate, with good definition, fine juiciness, a hint of minerality, finesse and very fine tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, blackcurrant and, more lightly, small crushed berries, combined with hints of fleshy blueberry, black cherry and discreet hints of mocha/cocoa, toast, vanilla, blond tobacco and an imperceptible hint of sweet spices. Fine, well-structured tannins. Good length. Fine power on the finish. Very discreet hint of licorice, almost minty, on the finish.
