Château La Croix du Casse

La Croix du Casse Castle
Located south of the town of Pomerol, the La Croix du Casse Castle produces exclusively red wines from nearly 9.5 hectares of vineyards. Its terroir consists of sandy gravel and iron-rich soil. After belonging for several years to the Audy family (who also ran Château Clinet at the time), the Castéja family purchased the La Croix du Casse Castle in 2005

Already the owners of the classified growths Batailley, Trottevieille, and Lynch-Moussas, the Castéja family aims to restore the La Croix du Casse Castle all its former glory. As part of this approach, a second wine called "Les Chemins de la Croix du Casse" is produced to ensure that the finest grapes are reserved for the grand vin. For over 15 years, this Pomerol estate has drawn on its long-standing family expertise.

Château La Croix du Casse produces approachable wines that are a pleasure to drink, with fruity and floral notes. They can be cellared for 5 to 15 years.
