About the wine:

A magnificent nose with floral notes that are evident right from the first sip. The silky texture, combined with subtle tannins, creates a sense of well-being with hints of iris and Sichuan black pepper, followed by a mid-palate and an eloquent finish as the wine opens up.

About the estate:

Generali France, the estate’s owner, can be pleased with the investments made in the 22 hectares of La Pointe, situated on sandy and gravelly soils. The estate’s talented director, Éric Monneret, who is always inspired, has successfully established his wine’s reputation. He manages his technical team with great skill and heeds the sound advice of consultant Hubert de Boüard. Soil analysis and the implementation of rigorous plot-by-plot management have made this estate one of the benchmarks in the region, gaining in aromatic purity and silkiness over the years.

A fragrant and expressive nose. Beautiful, pure fruit aromas, with a mineral and chalky freshness, combining lively acidity with pronounced minerality. Still somewhat reserved at this stage, the juicy strawberry notes are slightly overshadowed by aromas of licorice and crushed stone, but the wine remains elegant and well-structured. Excellent definition and delicate persistence, leading to a long and complex finish. A refined and assertive wine. 2027–2043

About the estate:

This significant vineyard (23 ha) owes its name to its location at the tip formed by the roads leading to the town and to Catusseau, just outside Libourne. Known for its consistent quality, it was acquired in 2007 by the Generali Group. Éric Monneret, a native of the Jura region who previously worked in Sauternes, manages the vineyard.

This long-established estate, located at the entrance to Pomerol, has made significant strides since its acquisition by the insurance company Generali: the vineyard has been revitalized, and a new winery has been built. Under the leadership of its director, Éric Monneret, the wine has become truly noteworthy: it now possesses the aromatic charm, smoothness, warmth, and length characteristic of its finest neighbors, as well as a distinctive finesse that, even in hot vintages, prevents it from ever becoming heavy. A property to watch closely!

About the wine:

A delicate, creamy nose with aromas of vanilla, red berries, plum, milk chocolate, and sweet spices. Elegant, juicy, and fresh on the palate, this wine has a medium body and an expressive, lingering finish. The tannins are perfectly integrated. Tempting to drink now, but the woody and spicy notes will benefit from being allowed to develop over the next 2 to 3 years. Best enjoyed after 2026.
