“Merlot (65%) blends with the two Cabernets in this 2015 vintage, which emphasizes finesse and elegance over power. Our tasters are captivated by its charming bouquet, blending fresh red fruit—with raspberry at the forefront—and a full range of woody notes: vanilla, cinnamon, brioche, and licorice. On the palate, this wine captivates with its suppleness and roundness, framed by fine, fresh, woody tannins with a licorice flavor.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019) Delivered in a wooden crate for orders of 6 bottles of this wine. About the wine:
With a purplish-garnet color, the 2015 Cap de Mourlin opens brilliantly with lively notes of red fruit, accented by blackberry and hints of forest floor. On the palate, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied, with supple, approachable tannins, plenty of freshness, and a earthy finish. It is ready to drink now and should age well for another 10 to 12 years.
