2025 Highlights
Pack of 6 wooden boxes

“It has power, but also energy and elegance: it’s magnificent, with an absolutely sumptuous texture. A true terroir wine! ~ Decanter”

“What a magnificent blend of chalky and floral nuances, combined with notes of blueberries, licorice, and peppermint. The complexity, attention to detail, and purity create an extraordinary harmony. On the palate, the structure’s salty, chiseled, and incisive character is well-balanced by its creamy texture. This texture also allows the tannins to fully express their vigor, working in tandem with the acidity, which further enhances the wine’s temperament and freshness. A vibrant Clos Fourtet, of rare depth with an endless finish underscored by subtle bitterness. An exceptional Clos Fourtet!” (Yves Beck 2026)

Wine rated (2026 guide) 97/100

About the wine:

On the nose, ripe and heady aromas of blackcurrant. A concentrated yet fresh bouquet. Supple and very juicy, with beautiful acidity that adds tension but harmonizes with notes of ripe strawberries, offering a velvety texture and a refreshing hint of blueberry, all leading to a chalky, mineral, and graphite-like finish. Approachable, balanced, and velvety. It has power, but also energy and elegance: it is magnificent, with an absolutely sumptuous texture. A lovely minerality with chalky tannins, yet nothing is overly pronounced or out of place. A true terroir wine. A yield of 28 hl/ha. pH of 3.40. Malolactic fermentation in tanks, followed by aging in just under 40% new barrels, the rest in one-year-old barrels (58%) and 2% in clay amphorae. 2032–2046

Deep purple color with violet hues and a black rim. An elegant nose featuring refined fruit notes—blackberries, blackcurrants, redcurrant jelly, and hints of raspberry—along with subtle aromatic herbs, gingerbread spices, and delicate roasted notes.
