“Floral, earthy, smoky, and elegant, this wine exudes class and charm with its layers of medium-bodied red berries—sweet, fresh, pure, silky, vibrant, and mineral-driven. Refined, with good length and complexity, it’s truly delicious now and will only improve with age. It’s an undisputed contender for the best Grand Mayne vintage ever produced!” (The Wine Cellar Insider – Jeff Leve, 2022) – Delivered in a wooden case for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Pickup Point delivery).

Rated 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Spanning 17 hectares, this Grand Cru Classé, located on the western slope of the Saint-Emilion plateau, is managed by the Nony family. Under the leadership of Jean-Antoine Nony, the estate has made significant progress and appears to have found its stride in producing great wines on this first-rate terroir. The 2018 vintage and the 2020 vintage (sold en primeur) confirm this new phase. Well done.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the estate:

This estate, which has been in the Nony family since 1934, has retained its original name (“grand domaine” in Old French): in the 19th century, with nearly 300 ha, it was the largest estate in Saint-Émilion. Today, the vineyards cover 17 ha on the gentle slopes to the west of the plateau.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a good standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Owned by the Nony family since 1934, this historic estate has served as the crucible—since 1973, with the help of Michel Rolland—for crafting a wine of great fullness and allure, one that is resolutely “modern” and, in that sense, a pioneer. The terroir at the foot of the hillside, varied across the estate’s 17 hectares of plots, has real character: the wines’ aging potential is astonishing, even in the “small” vintages—which are particularly successful—such as the remarkable 1997! The exuberance of recent vintages warrants close attention to ensure the wines do not become too powerful.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 95/100

About the wine:

Grand Mayne 2019 offers a pure and beautifully defined bouquet of black cherry, blueberry, crushed violet, and mineral notes. The harmonious palate is medium-bodied with refined structure, crisp acidity, and hints of dark chocolate toward the finish, which displays both power and elegance. This is a superb Grand Mayne presented by Jean-Antoine Nony. 2024–2050

Wine rated (2021 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

A vibrant, fruity nose of blackberries, blackcurrants, cherries, violets, licorice, and pine needles. Full-bodied, with firm yet supple tannins. Great concentration and ripe black fruit with a floral touch. Best enjoyed in 2023.

Yves Beck

Wine rated (2022 guide) 95/100

About the wine:

What finesse and depth in the bouquet of Grand Mayne! It successfully balances intensity and finesse, revealing notes of wild berries and spices. This wine stands out for its finesse and balance—specifically, its ability to bridge the gap between liveliness and savory richness. A juicy, lingering finish. A fine achievement. 2025–2044
