Pontet-Fumet Castle
The origins of Château Pontet-Fumet in Saint-Emilion date back to the early 20th century. Mr. Seigneriau, a wine and grain merchant, subsequently invested in vineyards, aided by the construction of a railway line in the area that facilitated the transport of wine, and decided to produce his own wines. In 1920, one of their daughters married Henri-Gabriel Bardet, founder of Château du Val d'Or, who, accompanied by their son Roger, acquired other vineyards in the 1960s, giving rise to Château Pontet-Fumet in 1962. Now in the hands of Philippe Bardet, the Château is committed to innovation and respect for nature, with the development of a unique grape sorting machine and the certification of its 17-hectare estate as HVE 3 (High Environmental Value).

Château Pontet-Fumet is harvested among the last in order to obtain perfect ripeness of the grapes, which are sorted to select the finest fruits. The Château's wines are aged in wood, equally divided between new barrels and barrels that have been used once. The duration is determined through frequent tastings.

Château Pontet-Fumet Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is a powerful and complex wine, full of strength and elegance, with good aging potential.
