Wine rated (2019 guide) 17/20 + Editor's Choice (Top Pick)
Rated estate (2021 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the wine:
We love it! A powerful, richly fruity nose; great minerality; a clean, dense, and well-structured palate with lingering aromas and great energy. Potential and balance.
About the estate:
This world-renowned wine is produced in Marbuzet, a hillside facing the Gironde River. Its vineyards are situated halfway between Cos d’Estournel and Montrose. Henri Dubosq, a leading figure in the Médoc, has been crafting the estate’s wines with great success since 1982. In 2006, he partnered with Michelin-starred chef Philippe Jorand to enhance the 13 hectares of Château Layauga-Duboscq, situated on prime terroirs around Gaillan and Queyrac. The wines of Haut-Marbuzet have always been full-bodied, combining roundness and richness, with excellent aging potential. Haut-Marbuzet is truly a must-visit estate within the appellation.

Wine rated 89/100
About the wine:
The fully ripe Merlot dominates. The texture is smooth and approachable now, but will remain so in the future as well. A sure bet.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2019 guide) 2** stars (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
Although it comes across as somewhat austere on the finish, this wine clearly shows that it has serious potential. First, in its color—an intense garnet with violet hues; second, in its bouquet—complex and refined, dominated by black fruits (blackberry, black cherry); and finally, on the palate—full-bodied, dense, with well-integrated tannins and a long finish. A wine that is both powerful and harmonious.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 90/100 (Excellent wine)
Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
The 2015 Haut-Marbuzet has a purplish hue and a nose of plum, blackcurrant, and spices, with hints of earth and grass. The firm, lively palate offers a beautiful expression and an earthy finish.

Wine rated (guide 2019) 17/20 + Favorite (Great wine)
Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the wine:
A truly charming wine. This 2015 embodies the essence of Haut-Marbuzet, with the roundness and smooth tannins so characteristic of the vineyard. It also offers depth and a beautiful fullness.
About the estate:
No other Bordeaux estate can claim to have such a devoted community of enthusiasts. For over thirty years, Haut-Marbuzet and its colorful and dynamic owner, Henri Dubosq—now supported by his sons—have won the hearts of discerning wine lovers. While these wines have long been considered charming in their youth (which they undeniably are), yet limited in terms of aging potential, one must taste the mature vintages of this Saint-Estèphe estate to understand that its terroir is above all capable of producing wines that age beautifully. The old Merlot vines planted on blue clay lend Haut-Marbuzet’s bouquet superb truffle notes reminiscent of certain old Pomerols. Like many others, the estate experienced a slight dip in form at the start of the 2000s, but its strong comeback in recent years makes it more indispensable than ever in the cellar of any wine lover.
