"A beautiful bottle!"

The bouquet of Lafon-Rochet reveals itself with delicacy and precision. It is marked by notes of graphite, black berries, and cedar. On the palate, it stands out for its fruity intensity and creaminess. Such harmony and finesse on the palate, and such promise. The wine is refined, elegant, powerful, and fresh! Bravo to the whole team. (Yves Beck 2020) - Delivery in wooden crates is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2020 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

One of the last family-owned properties still under direct management, this 1855 classified growth is the focus of Basile Tesseron's attention. With expert advice from Jean-Claude Berrouet, he brings out the best in his Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes to produce a delicious, consistent wine that offers exceptional value for money in the Saint-Estèphe appellation. Impressive progress in 2020.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

This lovely Saint-Estèphe vintage has just been acquired by businessman Jacky Lorenzetti, who already owns the Pédesclaux and Lilian Ladouys châteaux and is a co-shareholder in Issan. A dedicated team is tasked with raising this vintage, which has obvious potential, to even greater heights. It will be very interesting to follow its progress. Previous vintages, produced under the leadership of Basile Tesseron, are quite good and represent good value for money.

About wine:

This wine comes from a distinguished estate. It is rich, with tannins softened by aromas of jammy blackberries and good acidity. Both structured and fruity, this wine will age well and remain well-balanced. Drink from 2026 onwards.

About wine:

The nose is marked by blackberry and blueberry, as well as notes of dark chocolate, minerals, and earth. It is full-bodied with firm tannins. Fleshy and flavorful texture. Flavorful finish with good length. Nice ripe fruit on the mid-palate. Try after 2025.

About wine:

A stunning, expressive, and confident nose with bold tobacco aromas. Its power is confirmed on the palate, which is clear and languid with ripe fruit and dark chocolate, distinguished above all by a texture you could lose yourself in and a lively, complex, gently salty finish... 2020-2040

Wine rated (2022 guide) 94/100

About wine:

Dark, intense, and beautiful color. Purple hues. Very aromatic nose with ripe fruit. The wine becomes more intense, purer and finer when swirled in the glass. And that's a good thing. Delicate on the palate, very aromatic in the middle, with a melting body and a refined touch, this wine scores even more points on the finish, where it ends long and complex, powerful and without any tannin. It's superb.

Wine Green

Vert de Vin

Wine rated (2021 guide) 94-95/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About wine:

The nose is fruity, fresh, elegant, well-balanced and offers concentration and intensity. There are notes of bright blackcurrant, boysenberry and, more subtly, small wild red berries combined with hints of violet, lily and touches of racy minerality, rose, zan and pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers lovely juiciness, richness, fine texture, complexity, depth, a delicate fullness, smoothness, as well as a little concentration and power. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright wild blackberry, blackcurrant and, more subtly, violet, combined with hints of bright raspberry, tonka bean, toast, vanilla, a subtle hint of nutmeg and a very discreet hint of sweet tobacco and toast (in the background). Good length. A very subtle hint of chocolate on the finish.

Anthocyanins - Yohan Castaing

Wine rated 95/100

About wine:

Fresh and minty nose, beautiful notes of flowers and firm black fruits, all wrapped up in a remarkable burst of fruit. Notes of iris and peony on the palate, with an imposing yet fresh and delicate texture. Crystal clear and fresh. A beautiful bottle that will surpass the 2016 vintage. For drinking in 20 to 30 years.
