Domaine Bernard Defaix

The Bernard Defaix Estate is located in the heart of the Chablis vineyards, in Milly. As the fourth generation of a family of winemakers, Bernard Defaix established his estate in 1959 with 2 hectares. Today, the estate spans 27 hectares, half of which are classified asChablis 1er Cru AOP. The first step in successful winemaking takes place in the vineyard, because “to make good wine, you need good grapes.” The vines are cultivated organically with very rigorous monitoring, which allows the grapes to reach their optimal level of ripeness and expression.
Thanks to skillful winemaking and aging on lees in tanks, the wines of Domaine Bernard Defaix gain richness and are protected against oxidation.
