Domaine Bernard Defaix

Domaine Bernard Defaix is located in the heart of the Chablis vineyards, in Milly. The fourth generation of a family of winemakers, Bernard Defaix set up in 1959 with 2 hectares. Today, the estate covers 27 hectares, half of which is AOP Chablis 1er Cru. The first stage in successful winemaking takes place in the vineyard, because "to make good wine, you need good grapes". The vines are cultivated organically, with rigorous monitoring to ensure that the grapes reach their optimum level of ripeness and expression.
Thanks to skilful vinification and ageing on lees in vats, Domaine Bernard Defaix wines gain in body and protect against oxidation.
