“Deep garnet in color, it offers a deep nose of baked blackberries, Black Forest cake, Christmas pudding, and Chinese five-spice, with notes of rosehip tea, cedar, and meat pie. Full-bodied, supremely rich, and wonderfully concentrated on the palate, it offers a rock-solid structure of grainy tannins and a long, spicy finish. ” (Wine Advocate 2019 - Lisa Perrotti-Brown)

Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec, and 4% Merlot, the 2015 Georges de Latour Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 90% of which were new. Deep garnet in color, it offers a deep nose of baked blackberries, Black Forest cake, Christmas pudding, and Chinese five-spice with notes of rosehip tea, cedar, and meat pie. Full-bodied, super-rich, and wonderfully concentrated on the palate, it offers a rock-solid structure of grainy tannins and a long, spicy finish. At 15% ABV, this is a magnificently rich, ripe, and opulent expression with an irresistible, energetic freshness that compensates for the wine’s age.

About the wine:

A complex red with notes of blackcurrant, forest floor, and mint. Hints of eucalyptus, too. I love the aromas. Full-bodied with ripe tannins that coat the palate. Very harmonious and precise. It needs four to five years to mellow, but it’s already a joy to drink.
