Kistler Vineyards

Unlike most California wineries , the majority of the grapes used in Kistler’s wines come from vineyards owned by the estate. These vineyards are located in western Sonoma and the Carneros region, just north of San Francisco. These cool-climate areas are ideal for growing these Burgundian grape varieties.

Robert Parker said of Kistler: "If Kistler could be magically transported to the heart of the Côte d'Or, he would very quickly achieve a reputation as glorious as that of the finest producers of Burgundy grands crus."
