Willamette Valley
The Willamette Valley is a renowned wine region located in the northwestern United States, in Oregon, and is the largest in the region.
It is particularly prized for its Pinot Noir and is now a popular destination for wine tourism.

The richness of its soils, composed mainly of volcanic rock, alluvial deposits, clay, and limestone, gives rise to wines with aromas of red fruits (cherry/raspberry) and forest floor. Structured with firm tannins, their fruitiness is generally very refined, and may be complemented by smoky and spicy notes when aged in oak.

Its cool climate, combined with its great diversity of soils, gives Willamette Valley wines a freshness and invigorating acidity that beautifully balance their profile, often described as pure, complex, and elegant.

In addition to Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon is also grown here, as are white grape varieties whose names will be familiar to you: Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling.

Finally, and more broadly speaking, the aging potential of Willamette Valley wines can reach up to 10 years for the finest vintages, so don’t hesitate to store some of your bottles in the cellar to rediscover them after a long rest.
