"Here is the best champagne to drink during the holidays, according to UFC Que Choisir!"

This extra brut Blanc de Noirs champagne reveals a "luminous" yellow color when poured into a glass. "The nose is open and precise, with notes of greengage plum, tatin, menthol, pear, mirabelle plum, rhubarb, redcurrant, and red berries," according to the blind tasting results. It stands out on the palate with "great balance and a power that awakens exponentially." It also evolves pleasantly as you taste it: "The fruitiness is juicy, vinous, and indulgent, stretching toward a continuous, salty, and racy finish" (UFC Que Choisir - November 2024 edition).

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Rated estate (2025 guide) Recommended (Recommended)

About the estate:

It was in Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, that Hubert Robert (grandfather of the current owner) created the first group of winegrowers in the 1930s to press and vinify the fruit of their harvest together. In 1960, André Robert bought the current house, which has 19th-century chalk cellars. Chardonnay is the soul of the estate, with the wines being aged in barrels on lees with bâtonnage and late bottling. A collection of old vintages is available.

Very fine bubbles. Nose: fruity. Palate: mentholated, mellow woodiness, finesse and elegance with a lovely finish. Very good champagne.
