“A beautiful tribute to the grandfather who, more than 50 years ago, planted the Meunier vineyard that gave rise to this cuvée, in the terroir of Charly-sur-Marne—a village separated from the City of Coronations by the river’s many meanders— and a remarkable debut in the Guide for Geoffroy Naudé, who brought out the best in a ‘winemaker’s vintage,’ which received irrigation during the ripening phase, without the aid of dosage. A reasonable price for a vintage champagne of this age. But it has no particular strengths or weaknesses, which is why it rates as average.
