91/100
Gault & Millau
"An ideal Blanc de Blancs for an aperitif—freshness and finesse are guaranteed."
“After aging on the lees for 5 years, this blanc de blancs offers a complex profile that is both fresh and ripe: biscuit and buttery notes, along with aromas of stewed apple and pear and a hint of lemon, fill the glass. Mineral on the attack, full-bodied without being excessive, and with good length, the palate shines with its velvety texture combined with a light, invigorating bitterness. ” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins)

About the estate:
A name from the South: Ernest Cazals, the estate’s founder and a cooper by trade, left the Hérault region to settle in Mesnil-sur-Oger in 1897. Olivier succeeded him, followed by Claude, the inventor of the gyropalette. Since 1996, his daughter Delphine has been running the estate: approximately 9 hectares on the Côte des Blancs.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Wine rated (2023 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
A pure Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, primarily from the 2017 vintage, that opens with luscious notes of white fruit, pear tart, raisin bread, and bergamot. The palate follows suit with a luscious attack, sustained by fine, lively bubbles, and a finish that tightens nicely with a sense of tension. A champagne to enjoy on any special occasion.
