Champagne Dominique Massin - Brut Prestige Solera 1990
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
“An irresistibly appealing creation, beautifully complex, in which the Solera blend of wines dating back to 1990 is perfectly integrated”
“This brut earned the following praise from a taster: ‘Beautiful complexity and well-integrated reserve wines. ” Made primarily from Chardonnay (75%, supplemented mainly by Pinot Noir), it includes wines from a solera system started in 1990—a perpetual reserve partially replenished each year with young wines that refresh the older vintages while preserving their mature characteristics. The result is an intense, fresh, and complex nose, blending white flowers and lemon with yellow fruits and toasted brioche, followed by a lively attack on the palate that is full-bodied and persistent, where the complexity of the nose is reflected: a rare harmony.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

About the wine:
This brut earned the following praise from a taster: “Beautiful complexity and well-integrated reserve wines. ” Made primarily from Chardonnay (75%, supplemented mainly by Pinot Noir), it includes wines from a solera system started in 1990—a perpetual reserve partially replenished each year with young wines that refresh the older ones while preserving their mature characteristics. The result is an intense, fresh, and complex nose, blending white flowers and lemon with yellow fruits and toasted brioche, well extended by a palate that is lively on the attack, full-bodied, and persistent, where the complexity of the nose is reflected: a rare harmony.
About the estate:
The Massin family has been running the estate for five generations. Dominique and Rachel launched their champagne in 1975. In 2009, Tristan Massin, a certified oenologist, joined his mother in the business, and was joined in 2013 by his sister Céline. Located in the Côte des Bar region, the HVE-certified estate features a 12-hectare vineyard planted primarily with Pinot Noir. The vintages are aged for at least three years in the cellar.
