About the estate:
Xavier Gonet set up his own business in Bisseuil, a premier cru in the Marne Valley, with his wife Julie, née Médeville, of Château Gilette in Sauternes. They have a unique portfolio of vineyards: the family’s contribution of great Chardonnays from Mesnil-sur-Oger (Louvière, Champ d’Alouette), fine Pinot Meunier wines (Mareuil), and Pinot Noir wines (Ambonnay and Bisseuil). To ensure the wine retains its liveliness as it ages, malolactic fermentation is halted. An increasingly significant portion of the clear wine also ferments in barrels, which enhances the fineness of the bubbles. We appreciate the perfect consistency of this distinctive range, a fitting reward for the coordinated efforts in viticulture and winemaking.

I was very disappointed by this champagne, even though I was familiar with it. Two of the three bottles were really tart. What a shame! Until now, I had fond memories of a well-made champagne.

Excellent value for money; all the guests were impressed by this Premier Cru, which is every bit as good as some Grand Cru champagnes

A very good champagne. For my personal taste, it could be a little "drier." However, it was a real pleasure to taste, and the guests were delighted. No complaints about the shipping. The package arrived on the scheduled date, and the packaging was particularly well done. Congratulations, and see you soon!
