About the estate:
This small house based in Aÿ, run since 2004 by Francis Tribaut, a passionate Champagne producer, is the rising star of the vineyard. It produces only grand cru champagnes, except for the rosé, which is still a premier cru, and has a low dosage. Naturally, the grapes are mainly sourced from Aÿ, with some Chardonnays from Avize and Cramant. The non-vintage bruts indicate the harvest year on their label. This is a place worth discovering, backed by its talented and experienced cellar master, Dominique Demarville. Great things are in store here.

About the estate:
The brand, which bears the family name, dates back to 1906. But it was in 1996 that René-James Lallier, the founder's grandson, gave it a new lease of life, before it was acquired by his consultant oenologist Francis Tribaut in 2004. Its reputation has grown exponentially. The vineyard covers 15 hectares planted exclusively with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, most of which are classified as Grand Cru. This allows the estate to cover 40% of its supply and produce a total of 400,000 bottles per year. The wines are lightly dosed, if at all. Following the acquisition of the company by Campari, Dominique Demarville was appointed managing director and cellar master.

About the estate:
In 2019, Italian spirits giant Campari acquired the 15 hectares of vineyards belonging to the house founded in 1906 by René Lallier. Brilliantly revived by Francis Tribaut, who took over the reins in 2004 before passing the torch to Dominique Demarville in 2021, Lallier has successfully developed its wines and established itself in French gastronomy. The two single vineyard cuvées from Aÿ, Les Sous and Loridon, are undoubtedly the house's strong point, and the Ouvrage cuvée also showcases a wine of beautiful dimension and scope. The non-vintage bruts now need to step up a notch and the range needs to become more consistent.
