About the estate:

The house was founded in 1836 under the name Dubois-Greno and became Pommery & Greno upon the arrival of Louis-Alexandre Pommery in 1856. Its success is linked to Jeanne Alexandrine Louise Pommery, who, after becoming a widow in 1858, gave the business an international dimension, had monumental chalk cellars built, and helped revolutionize the style of champagne by creating “brut nature” in 1874. She was also responsible for commissioning the neo-Gothic buildings that house the company’s headquarters, a familiar sight to the residents of Reims. Since 2002, Pommery has been part of the Vranken Monopole group.
