Bodegas Volver
Bodegas Volver was founded in 2004 by Rafael Canizares and Jorge Ordonez. The winery produces wines in the La Mancha, Alicante, and Jumilla appellations.
Bodegas Volver owns some of the finest plots in the La Mancha appellation, covering approximately 100 hectares at an average altitude of 660 meters. The soils are sandy and clayey, and the Tempranillo grape variety is grown with very low yields and harvested manually.
The other flagship appellation of Bodegas Volver is DO Alicante, where some of the estate's finest wines are produced. The 110-hectare vineyard is located southwest of the town of Salinas, between the Sierra de Salinas, Sierra de L'Altet and Sierra de la Sima mountain ranges. Part of the vineyard is certified organic. It is the stronghold of a very southern grape variety, Mourvèdre, grown on arid and very poor soils. The wines produced show great character and finesse.
