Finca La Cuesta is so young that it tastes like a straight-from-the-tank wine. It is a pure Mencía, aged in French oak barrels for one year. It seems more well-rounded than the 2013, powerful, with better balance and emerging complexity. The palate is still marked by the aging process, but you can sense the intensity and concentration of the vintage, coupled with lovely acidity that brings good balance to this powerful style.
