“The Tres Picos 2013 is the estate’s flagship wine, a 100% Grenache made from the oldest vines planted on the slopes of Moncayo. This is the first time the Grenache grapes have been aged partly in French oak barrels (10 months) and partly in tanks. There are 6,000 cases of this exceptional wine. Its ruby-purple color is followed by notes of kirsch, licorice, pepper, and spice box, resulting in a full-bodied, richly fruity, sensual, pure wine with beautiful finesse and complexity. Sometimes Grenache takes on complex nuances similar to Pinot Noir, and that seems to be the case here.
