Vinedos y Bodegas Pablo
Viñedos y Bodegas Pablo is a family-owned winery located in the town of Almonacid de la Sierra (Zaragoza). In 1995, José Pablo Casao and his sisters acquired a historic estate dating back to the 1940s, renovating it and introducing the latest winemaking technologies with the goal of expressing the terroir through wines made from native grape varieties.
The vineyards of Bodegas Pablo are located at the foot of the Sierra de Algairén, at an altitude between 550 and 750 meters. The soils consist mainly of crushed slate (“licorelle”), with sandy and stony sections.
The average age of the vines is 30 years. The oldest vines are over a century old.
The climate around the vineyard experiences significant temperature variations between day and night in the summer, allowing for the development of several quality factors: ripeness, acidity, etc.
