Miquel Pons

Miquel Pons Winery is a family-owned business located in the Alt Penedès region of Catalonia, west of Barcelona, Spain, and has been dedicated to viticulture for generations. Miquel Pons Winery owns an estate called Cal Montargull, where the tradition and expertise of working the land and tending the vineyards are passed down to the firstborn son of each generation. The knowledge and experience acquired by Miquel Pons to maintain and improve the estate, combined with the insights of his sons Joan and Pere in crafting wines and cavas, result in products that bear the mark of their personalities. This work has earned Miquel Pons Winery recognition for the quality and variety of its production.

The grape varieties grown on the Miquel Pons estate are , of course, primarily local: Macabeo, Xarelo, and Parellad. These are complemented by Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The grapes are pressed and fermented separately. What sets the Miquel Pons estate apart is its extensive and high-quality product range, which includes red, rosé, and white wines (both single-varietal and blends) as well as white, rosé, and even red cavas (sparkling wines).
