Miquel Pons

Miquel Pons Winery is a family-owned business located in the Alt Penedès region of Catalonia, west of Barcelona, Spain, and has been dedicated to viticulture for generations. Miquel Pons Winery owns an estate called Cal Montargull, where the tradition and expertise of working the land and tending the vines are passed down to the eldest son of each generation. The knowledge and experience acquired by Miquel Pons to maintain and improve the estate, combined with the insights of his sons Joan and Pere in crafting wines and cavas, result in products that bear the mark of their personalities. This work has earned the Miquel Pons winery recognition for the quality and variety of its production.

The grape varieties used on the Miquel Pons estate are , of course, primarily local: Macabeo, Xarelo, and Parellad. These are complemented by Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The grapes are pressed and fermented separately. The Miquel Pons estate is unique in offering a product range that is as extensive as it is high-quality, ranging from red, rosé, and white wines (single-varietal or blends) to white, rosé, and even red cavas (sparkling wines).
