"Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for 8 months in new French and American oak barrels. Deep ruby color. Aromas of boysenberries, cherry liqueur, and licorice that evolve upon aeration into smoky and vanilla notes with floral accents. The palate is very concentrated and well-integrated, offering juicy fruit (blueberry) and cola flavors that display clarity and a lovely length. The finish is spicy, smoky, and quite persistent, unfolding a hint of violet-flavored candy, with a framework of supple tannins.” (Josh Raynold, Vinous, November 2016)

A good Spanish wine, though perhaps a little too rich for my taste

It has body, but the wood is too overpowering. Best kept in the cellar.
