Bodega y Viñedos Ponce released its very first vintage in 2005. Founded by oenologist Juan Antonio Ponce, who—drawing on the quality of his terroir and his meticulous work—propelled the small Manchuela appellation onto the global wine scene. 

The family-owned estate cultivates about thirty hectares of old vines (averaging 50 years of age), making the most of the terroir and biodiversity through biodynamic farming practices. Bodega Ponce is also committed to showcasing lesser-known grape varieties from the Manchuela region, such as Bobal, Albilla, and Moravia Agria, which are harvested and vinified using traditional methods. 

Today, the Ponce winery is recognized and appreciated by the world’s leading critics, who consistently award it superb ratings and glowing reviews: at the pinnacle of its craft and bringing out the best in the grape varieties it works with, Ponce is also described by Parker and Suckling as one of the best values for money in the world.
