After studying oenology in Bordeaux, Alvaro Palacios established his estate in 1989 in Gratallops, in the heart of Priorat, a region that was then unpopular due to its hostile topography.
The dynamismof Alvaro Palacios, the son of a winegrower, has made his wines and the Priorat region famous thanks to numerous awards. His L'Ermita Velles Vinyes cuvée is one of the five most expensive wines in Spain.
