The Ribera del Duero appellation enjoys a worldwide reputation, thanks in large part to its finest wines, Vega Sicilia and Pingus. Bodega Montecastro also shares in this fame by producing this seductive Montecastro y Llanahermosa, praised by Robert Parker. This 2005 vintage, made from 100% Tempranillo—Spain’s premier grape variety—is highly expressive, with aromas of red fruit, herbs, and mineral and woody notes...

You said it would last until 2025. I just opened the first bottle this past April 2019. Exceptional nose; tannins are still present (tasted on an empty stomach) but integrate beautifully with food. It’s got plenty of potential to age until 2025, for sure. Compared to the price of Vega Sicilia... there’s no contest!!!!
