"A traditional beauty that expresses iron, warm earth, and savory tobacco leaves, as well as plums, spices, and orange zest. It is juicy and still tight, with firm but flavorful tannins. It is medium-bodied and its texture is quite lively, as is the case with the other López de Heredia reds tasted during this session. Drink now or hold." (James Suckling 2022).

About wine:
The Viña Tondonia Reserva 2011 is darker and has riper fruit, a rounder palate, and powdery tannins. A year of maturity, concentration, and tannins, the wine is powerful with the finesse of Tondonia. Tasting this wine alongside the Tondonia 2010 revealed that the latter is more powerful and fuller, while the 2010 is the embodiment of finesse and elegance. It was bottled in May 2019.
