Hacienda Terra d'Uro

Hacienda Terra d’Uro was founded by Oscar Garrote, Cristiano Van Zeller, and Javier “Pipa” Ortega. Together, they manage three vineyards: Finca de Rana, Finca El Romeral, and Finca La Coscojosa. These vineyards are located on a unique terroir in Bardales, at an elevation of 750 meters, with pre-phylloxera vines over 140 years old.

Most of the work carried out at Hacienda Terra d’Uro is done by hand, using the most natural methods possible. The fermentation of Terra d’Uro wines takes place in 225-liter Bordeaux barrels. Aging lasts between 12 and 24 months in new barrels. There is no filtration or clarification, in order to fully preserve the natural qualities of the wines, which are powerful yet velvety.
