Hacienda Terra d'Uro

Hacienda Terra d’Uro was founded by Oscar Garrote, Cristiano Van Zeller, and Javier “Pipa” Ortega. Together, they manage three vineyards: Finca de Rana, Finca El Romeral, and Finca La Coscojosa. These vineyards are located on a unique terroir in Bardales, at an elevation of 750 meters, and feature pre-phylloxera vines that are over 140 years old.

Most of the work carried out at Hacienda Terra d’Uro is done by hand, and the winemaking process is as natural as possible. Terra d’Uro wines are fermented in 225-liter Bordeaux barrels. Aging lasts between 12 and 24 months in new barrels. Neither filtration nor clarification is used, in order to fully preserve the wines’ natural qualities, which result in wines that are powerful yet velvety.
