Golden in color and topped with a beautiful velvety head, this lovely blonde beer is a subtle blend of subtle bitterness and sweetness. Round and fruity with aromas of malt and slightly smoky cereals, the finish ends with a slight bitterness that prolongs the flavors. A craft blonde beer with a strong personality that will appeal to enthusiasts.

About the estate:

Sommepy-Tahure, in Argonne, France's leading cereal and malt-producing region, is the birthplace of Jean-Bernard Guyot. He settled in a farmhouse typical of the region, which had been home to a brewery in 1859. This brewer and farmer is a fervent defender of the rural and historical heritage in which he lives: his Valmy beers are a national symbol of the Republic. The project he has had in mind for a long time is taking shape: to build an autonomous brewery. Already equipped with solar panels, a biomass boiler, a water treatment plant, and a well, he has planted agroforestry crops on the farm, makes his own yeast, and has even started making beer-aged cheese. Year after year, he is turning his dreams into reality.

I find that this beer's qualities are better appreciated with a meal than when enjoyed on its own as a refreshing drink. Although moderate in alcohol content (6%), this beer is quite full-bodied and dense.
