Brasserie d'Orgemont
The Brasserie d'Orgemont, founded in 2001 by Jean-Bernard Guyot, a passionate enthusiast, is one of the oldest craft breweries in France. Located in Champagne-Ardenne, about 30 kilometers from Reims, it has acquired the expertise to produce high-quality beers with a strong identity. To satisfy all tastes, Brasserie d'Orgemontoffers a complete range of beers. Two types of beer are brewed there: Orgemont (blonde, brown, triple), Belgian abbey-style beers, and Valmy (white, blonde, amber, IPA), traditional French organic beers; complemented by two special beers: Rèmes (with champagne marc) and Louve (with raspberry).
Committed to the environment, the Brasserie d'Orgemont is part of a 100% local and ecological production approach, with the aim of producing without a carbon footprint. In 2015, Valmy beer was selected by the World Climate Conference Organization to be the beer of COP21.
Orgemont beer is also designed to be a key ingredient in the production of typical local products, reviving regional traditions and expertise. Today, the Brasserie d'Orgemont produces and sells beers, as well as terrines and cheeses. In 2006, it launched a cheese, a sheep's milk tomme matured with Orgemont brown beer.
The brewery is already covered with solar panels, a well has been drilled to use local water, and there are plans to set up a farm to produce organic raw materials (barley, hops, etc.) with the ultimate goal of becoming completely self-sufficient.
