Robert Parker

“The 2013 Barolo Marcenasco is Renato Ratti’s flagship wine, first produced in 1965. The Marcenasco vineyard in La Morra responded well to this cooler vintage. The wine displays beautiful clarity and precision. A lovely cherry note evolves into aromas of spice, tar, and rose petals. Judging by the nose alone, this Barolo seems ready to drink right now. On the palate, however, the youthfulness of the tannins and the vibrancy of the primary fruit aromas strongly suggest that a little more time in the bottle will work wonders.” (Wine Advocate 2017 – Robert Parker). A truly great Barolo!
