"A confidential cuvée for an exceptional Barolo, a bottle to forget in your cellar!"

"Very composed and seductive aromas of violets, undergrowth and wild berries. The palate is firm but balanced, with precise tannins and a linear, tasty, firm fruity core on the finish. Very well constructed. Needs a few years to develop fully. Best enjoyed from 2027 onwards. (James Suckling 2025)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 17/20

About the wine:

La Morra. Medium ruby color with orange highlights. At first glance, the raspberry notes are rather masked by the oak. It's not clear whether the oak has been used to increase complexity. However, it seems to be the case. Juicy, savory red fruit wrapped in complex woody spice and accompanied by attractive gravelly tannins. The oak aging is skillfully done, but will take time to harmonize with the fruit. Unusually modernist style for this classic estate. 2027-2038
