"A rare vintage for an exceptional Barolo—a bottle to keep in your cellar!"

“Very complex and alluring aromas of violets, forest floor, and wild berries. The palate is firm yet balanced, with precise tannins and a linear, fruity core that is flavorful and firm on the finish. Very well-structured. Needs a few years to fully develop. Best enjoyed starting in 2027. ” (James Suckling 2025)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 17/20

About the wine:

La Morra. Medium ruby color with orange highlights. On first impression, the raspberry notes are somewhat masked by the oak. It’s not immediately clear whether the oak was used to enhance complexity, but that appears to be the case. Juicy, flavorful red fruit is enveloped in complex woody spice and accompanied by appealing, gritty tannins. The oak aging is skillfully executed, but it will take time for it to harmonize with the fruit. An unusually modern style for this classic estate. 2027–2038
